As we all know, optical fiber is a cable often used in our integrated wiring. We are going to talk about what are the specifications for wiring the fiber patch cord!

1. When only a single cabinet is placed in the computer room and there is no ODF dedicated cabinet

When laying fiber optic patch cords, the fiber pigtails patch cords should exit from the optical fiber port of the photoelectric conversion card in the chassis and extend downward. Pass the upper branch slot of the dedicated fiber optic patch cord cable management device into the dedicated fiber optic patch cord organizer. (Note: When the fiber patch cord is laid out for the frame, the first card from left to right in the frame should be the optical fiber patch cord of the photoelectric conversion card in the slot is routed into the first branching slot from left to the right upper side of the cable organizer. The optical fiber patch cord of the photoelectric conversion card in the second card slot from left to right in the chassis is routed into the cable organizer is in the second branching groove from left to right, and so on).

Then pass the rear slot of the dedicated cable organizer for fiber jumper wiring to the left side of the front of the cabinet, and extend it into the ODF terminal box along the left side of the front of the cabinet. (Note: If there are cable management slots on both sides of the front of the cabinet, the optical fiber patch cords should be routed in the cable management slot on the left side of the cabinet). Then enter the corresponding ODF terminal box terminal disc from the ODF terminal box splitter. If the length of the optical fiber patch cord is redundant, arrange the redundant part and arrange it on the bottom of the cabinet.

2. When multiple cabinets are placed in the computer room or ODF dedicated cabinets are available

When multiple cabinets are placed in the computer room and there is no ODF dedicated cabinet, one cabinet should be designated as the ODF dedicated cabinet. This cabinet cannot install or place any equipment that has nothing to do with the ODF terminal box. The ODF terminal box is only allowed to be installed in the designated Inside the ODF dedicated cabinet.

When laying optical fiber patch cords, the fiber patch cords should exit from the optical fiber port of the photoelectric conversion card in the chassis and extend downward. Pass the upper side branch groove of the dedicated fiber optic patch cord wiring organizer into the dedicated fiber optic patch cord organizer. (Note: When arranging optical fiber patch cords for the chassis, the optical fiber patch cords of the photoelectric conversion card in the first card slot from left to right in the chassis should be routed to the first branch line from left to right on the top of the cable manager. Route the optical fiber patch cord of the photoelectric conversion card in the second slot from left to right in the frame into the second splitter slot on the upper side of the cable organizer from left to right, and so on).

Then pass the rear slot of the dedicated fiber jumper cable wiring manager to the front of the cabinet near the ODF dedicated cabinet, and extend along the front of the cabinet near the ODF dedicated cabinet. (Note: If there are cable management slots on both sides of the front of the cabinet, the optical fiber patch cords should be routed in the cable management slot on the side of the cabinet near the ODF dedicated cabinet at the front of the cabinet). Go through the wiring holes on the same side of the top of the cabinet and pass through the wiring holes on the top of the cabinet.

If the equipment room is equipped with a bridge, the optical fiber jumper should pass through the upper bridge from the top of the cabinet, and route it left or right on the bridge to the upper end of the top of the ODF dedicated cabinet. Then extend from the bridge frame downward, and pass the wiring hole on the left side of the top of the ODF dedicated cabinet into the ODF dedicated cabinet. If the computer room does not have a bridge, the fiber jumper cable should be routed to the left or right along the top of the cabinet to the left wiring hole on the top of the ODF dedicated cabinet, and then pass into the ODF dedicated cabinet from the left wiring hole at the top of the ODF dedicated cabinet. Then, route the wires from the left side of the ODF dedicated cabinet to the ODF terminal box splitter. (Note: If there are cable management slots on both sides of the front end of the cabinet, the optical fiber patch cords should be routed in the cable management slot on the left side of the cabinet). Then enter the corresponding ODF terminal box terminal disk. If there is redundancy in the length of the optical fiber patch cord, the redundant part shall be arranged in an ODF dedicated cabinet.

The above are all the specifications of wiring the optical fiber patch cord. Of course, the computer room wiring should not be random. The network cable should be actually wired on-site. When building a new or rectifying a computer room, the network cables, and optical fiber patch cords are not allowed to use the same cable organizer or cabinet cable management slot and should be wired in their respective dedicated cable management devices or cabinet cable management slots. In addition, the equipment power cord, network cable, and optical fiber patch cord are not allowed to be entangled with each other and should be bundled separately from the network cable and optical fiber patch cord.
